Georgia Family Voices Activities:

Georgia Health Coalition: The Georgia Health Coalition is a group of families and disability and healthcare professionals working together to make change in Georgia.  They work on many different issues that affect families with children with special needs and their ability to access services and supports.

One major issue they are currently addressing is access to dental care.

Genetics of Autism Clinical Research Project: The purpose of this project is to learn more about possible genetic causes of autism.  Emory University is currently seeking families with only one child with a known diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for participation in this study.  Additional information about this project and how to participate can be found here.

Champions for Children: Through funding from the State of Georgia, Easter Seal affiliates across the state provide direct financial assistance to families with children who are medically fragile who do not qualify for other available funding.  Parent to Parent partners with Easter Seals on this project to provide families basic information and resources.  To learn more about this program, please visit the Champions for Children website or call us at 800-229-2038!
