P2PGA is seeking to hire 1 part-time Parent Partner for the LaGrange/Troup County area!

Are you a parent or family member of a child with a disability or special healthcare need? Are you looking for part-time work in a casual working environment, where you can help families to access support and resources while expanding your own knowledge?
The primary responsibilities of the Parent Partner include providing one-on-one assistance and guidance on educational and health-related issues to families of children with disabilities and/or special healthcare needs and to work closely with the staff at LaGrange Board of Health and Children with Special Healthcare Needs programs in LaGrange, GA.

Requirements:

• Experience supporting families of children with special healthcare needs
• Parent or family member of an individual with a disability and/or one year experience in the disability field.
• Good written and strong oral communication skills (preference given to candidates fluent in Spanish).
• Basic computer skills
• 2-4 year degree preferred
• Parent whose child has received services from Babies Can’t Wait (BCW) or Children’s Medical Services (CMS) preferred

Part-time position, 20 hours a week, 12 months a year. Pay is $17.00 per hour.
