Reasonable Accommodations and Youth Transitions to Employment

Presenters:

Rene Cummins is the Executive Director of Alliance of Disability Advocates, Center for Independent Living, which serves five counties in the Triangle Area of North Carolina. Rene has a doctoral degree in Psychology, and she is a trainer on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for the Southeast ADA Center, a member of the ADA National Network.

Sierra Royster is the Youth Advocacy and Outreach Specialist for Alliance of Disability Advocates, Center for Independent Living. Sierra has a background in Recreation Therapy, and she coordinates the annual North Carlina (NC) Youth Leadership Forum.

This webinar will provide basic information on youth transitions to employment, including reasonable accommodations in the employment process, definition of disability, and when and how to disclose about a disability. An interactive presentation will be used with opportunities for questions, answers and comments.
