Monitoring your Child’s Behavior Intervention Plan

May 10 2019

(originally offered 11/16/11)

Presenter: Jason Cavin, Behavior Analyst, Center for Leadership in Disability at Georgia State University

I keep meeting with the school and NOTHING changes! Turn anger into action.   Do you often wonder if others have really ever met your child because the kid they describe is not the kid you know? Are you tired of calls from the school and attending school team meetings that result in more team meetings? Jason Cavin will share strategies for applying the concepts from two previous webinars (Positive Behavior Supports at Home and Positive Behavior Intervention Supports in School) to ensure that your child’s Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) is current, accurate and properly implemented at home and other places outside of the school setting, by everyone, and at all times. Finally, you will be provided with some basic tools for tracking your child’s behaviors so that you can be a more included member of the team developing your child’s behavior intervention plan.

Running time: 57 minutes.

(For project evaluation purposes, Parent to Parent of Georgia may email webinar viewers a brief follow-up survey in 3-6 months.)
